Aim
It is very clear from its experience that there is lack of Awareness in the Community at large & resulting in late detection of cancer & unnecessary deaths. Through this project we aim to educate the Community through a person whom they know closely or their representative.

Jurisdiction
It will start with the villages in Coimbatore District & soon will incorporate other Districts in the Country.

Number of people to be reached
It is aimed through this project that 100,000 will reached in one year through 50 educators from the trust.

Training Nodes
In the courtyard of houses, Meeting points inside villages, Village Health centres, primary health centres, Schools.

Education Mode

• A maruti van will carry 3 educators + Driver .It will be euipped with a Television ,VCD player & a Public Address System These will have a UPS back up of one hour,( in case thre I sno electricity atleast one lecdem can be conducted.).To seat people it will have a Carpet and a couple of foldable chairs for the speaker.
• Groups of 30 - 50 people will be addressed in one session.
• After a common Address men & women will be segregated. A male speaker will speak to the men folk about - basics of cancer , tobacco related cancer & cancer of the colon. The lady speaker will stress on breast & cancer of the Uterine cancer. She will teach them to perform breast self exam through a video demonstration & a model of the breast. The breast model will have nodules incorporated to simulate the ones found in breast cancer. Relevant literature in Tamil will be distributed at the end.
